Due to strict licensing agreements with publishers, off-campus access to most electronic library resources such as databases, full text electronic journals and textbooks, as well as other online services are restricted to the following members of the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ community:

  • Faculty with a 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ ID number
  • Students with a 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ ID number
  • Staff with a 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ ID number
  • Residents with a 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ ID number

NB Any individual who is on campus (downtown or Macdonald) will be able to access most library e-resources without having to authenticate, either by connecting to the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ wired or wireless network, or by using computer workstations located in the library.

If you work in one of 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ’s affiliated hospitals and do not have access to 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Libraries' eResources, there are still several ways to access the information you need.

  1. Use Hospital-Licensed eResources

You may have access to eResources that are licensed specifically for use by your hospital or department. Check with your hospital library or information services for details.

  •
  1. Request Materials via Interlibrary Loan

You can request 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Libraries materials through your hospital’s interlibrary loan (ILL) service. This allows you to borrow books, articles, and other resources from 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ’s collections.

  2. On-Campus Access at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ

When visiting 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ’s downtown or Macdonald campuses, you can access 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Libraries e-resources by:

  • Connecting to the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ wireless network using a personal device, or
  • Using one of the public computer workstations available at any 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Libraries location. To learn more about the resources available to you, please contact your hospital library.

Please contact the Office of the Vice-President of Research and Innovation (VPRI) with any questions about access.
