Our Mission

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in Canada and remains the leading cause of cancer-related death in women worldwide. The 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Breast Outcomes Research Group is a breast surgical oncology research team dedicated to advancing the understanding of breast cancer care by studying its epidemiology, delivery, and quality, with a focus on surgical outcomes.

Our mission is to evaluate the impact of breast cancer care across the entire continuum, from the individual patient experience to broader healthcare system performance, and to develop evidence-based, patient-centered strategies that improve oncologic outcomes, surgical decision-making, and quality of life. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, innovative research, and a commitment to equity, we aim to inform and enhance the future of breast cancer surgery and care.
