International medical graduates (IMG) newly admitted as residents of Qu茅bec receive, exceptionally, advanced standing in the medical curriculum. 听IMGs join the Class of 2028听and start at the end of the second year of the curriculum with the Transition to Clinical Practice (TCP) component (to be determined). 听

It is imperative that all legal documentation, including registration with the Coll猫ge des m茅decins du Qu茅bec, are completed before the clinical rotation start date. 听Here are some points to get you started:
- Ensure your immunization records and the BCLS certificate are are uploaded by the April 6, 2026听deadline at the latest.
The form to print and have signed by your healthcare professional based on your immunization records is found here, along with the link to upload the form for verification by the Faculty. Upload your basic cardiac life support certificate to the checklist item on your Applicant Portal.
- Submit your legal documentation to Enrolment Services听by printing and completing the forms found at Legal Documents.
- Commence your registration with the Coll猫ge des m茅decins du Qu茅bec听by following the instructions on the . The UGME office will contact you with additional guidance on this topic.
Further information regarding course registration will be sent by the UGME office once available.
Important information about the CaRMs match: It is important to take note that as part of the analysis process, information is exchanged between the Bureau de la coop茅ration interuniversitaire and the faculties of medicine for the recognition of your medical school diploma by the CMQ and your CaRMS matching results status. Due to the clauses in the CaRMS contract, should you obtain a position through the CaRMS match during the current year, your candidature will no longer be considered admissible for the MDCM program, and you will be receiving a refusal notice on our behalf. Please notify us if you anticipate a CaRMS match.
