Graduate Funding

Graduate funding from the Institute of Islamic Studies is awarded on a competitive basis to outstanding applicants. The Institute offers five years of guaranteed funding to the top two or three PhD candidates. Funding consists in a tuition waiver and a stipend with no work, from one or more graduate fellowships or research grants. Students could also get salary from employment, such as Teaching Assistantships, grading, Course Lectureships or Research Assistantships. Applicants to whom the Institute is able to offer financial assistance will be notified.

Full details of all Graduate fellowships and awards can be found here.

There is no funding for MA students, but future applicants could check their eligibility for the McCall McBain scholarship and, if accepted to the program, apply for the provincial (FRQ) award and, if Canadian or protected person, for the federal (CGRS) scholarship.
