What initially drew me to the scholarship was the strong community it fosters at such pivotal points in our lives. I am excited not only to build those meaningful connections, but also to reengage with my studies—this time, fully supported to lean in, stay open, and truly explore.

I hope to continue exploring how change can be made to address inequitable access to healthcare, specifically among youth in areas of low socioeconomic status. This has been of particular interest to me throughout my undergraduate degree, and I hope to continue exploring this topic and striving to help those I can.

Receiving the McCall MacBain scholarship is an incredible honor and privilege for me. This scholarship means that I will be able to pursue my passion for food justice and food security without compromise, without worrying about how I am going to pay for law school, and with the support of an incredible network of peers and mentors. I am so excited to learn from others and to find new ways to support the community I love.
