±õ²Ô²Ô´Ç±¹³§²¹²Ô³Ùé is designed to increase the number of innovative and fundable startups and research spinoffs in the fields of medtech and life sciences in Quebec. Our mission is to support and empower Quebec university researchers, clinicians and innovators to transform their discoveries into real-world solutions that improve human health.
We support our teams by providing:
- Bespoke advice and coaching from industry-specific Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EiRs)
- Access and connections to clinicians, engineers, regulatory and reimbursement consultants, industry experts, investors, and stakeholders across the Quebec university and health ecosystem early on in the program
- Privileged access to MBA student interns who offer business support for accepted healthcare project/venture by conducting competitive environment analysis and market research
Who is this program for?
- Early-stage evidence-based research projects with a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) between 3 - 7 in the field of healthcare, such as:
- Diagnostics
- Devices
- Therapies
- Surgical tools
- Digital health
- Projects must be based at a Quebec public university/ Quebec university hospital/ Quebec research institute
- Research teams who wish to translate, implement, and commercialize their research results to improve patient health and care
Program format
- Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis
- Up to 30 teams will be accepted per year
- Hybrid program over a period of 4 to 12 months based on project’s needs and expected outcomes
- Part-time participation with a minimum time commitment of 8 hours per month, including a combination of regular project progress presentations, meetings at least twice a month with EiRs, and networking events between participating teams and our partners
