COMPASS connects graduate students with a diverse network of mentors who can offer guidance, share experiences, and provide support in areas that matter to them. Unlike traditional mentorship programs, COMPASS allows students to identify and contact mentors based on their specific interests, experiences, or circumstances.聽聽

How COMPASS Works聽

COMPASS is flexible and student-driven. While the Mentorship Pairing Program provides structured, longer-term mentorship focused on career and professional development, COMPASS offers access to a network of mentors who can provide guidance on a wide range of personal, professional, and institutional topics. Whether you are navigating a specific challenge, exploring a new career path, or looking for someone with a shared experience, COMPASS allows you to seek support when and how you need it.聽

As a mentee, you can:聽

• Browse the mentor directory using filters such as topic, lived experience, career background, or language.聽

• Reach out directly to mentors whose experiences align with your needs or interests.聽

• Connect for a single conversation or build an ongoing mentoring relationship.聽

• Seek guidance from multiple mentors as different questions or challenges arise.聽

There is no required meeting schedule and no expectation of a long-term commitment. You are encouraged to use the program in the way that best supports your goals and circumstances.聽
