WHMIS 2015 Training

Target Audience: All staff and students required to supervise, handle and/or store hazardous products must follow this course.ÌýWHMIS-2015 training is requiredÌýfor graduate students working in wet labs as well as undergraduate students performing special research projects, participating in the Summer Undergraduate Research in Engineering (SURE) program and/or internship or co-op projects where hazardous materials are used.Ìý

  • 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ students, staff and faculty can complete the online course and exam using the .
  • Non-91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ student and visitorÌýregistrantsÌýplease complete and submit the Paying Participant Training Form.

Certification: An e-certificate is issued to participants who successfully complete the online exam. Passing grade is set at 80% or higher.ÌýCertification is valid for a period of 3 years.

Content: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) 2015Ìýtraining is a legal requirement for all personnel working with hazardous products in Canada. WHMIS 2015 is intended to protect the health and safety of workers by promoting access to information on hazardous materials used in the workplace. EHS'ÌýWHMIS 2015 coreÌýtraining introduces participants to the 4 key elements of WHMIS 2015: Classification, Training, Labeling and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Duration: 60-minutes (excluding online examination time consisting of 20 multiple choice questions). AnÌýalternative online training vidio is available (91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ log-in required).
