The 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Department of Medicine is launching its call for Academic Promotions and is now accepting applications for both tenured and contract academic staff members.

Potential applicants reach out to Academic Affairs (AA) at aec8-academicaffairs3.fmhs [at] mcgill.caÌýconfirming their intent to apply for promotion, ideally prior to March 9. AA will coordinate a 15-minute meeting with a Department Promotion Committee (DPC) Chair (Dr. Annabel Chen-Tournoux for Clinician-Teachers and Clinician-Educators or Dr. Vicky Tagalakis for Clinician-Investigators, Clinician-Scientists and Scientists).

One week before the meeting, applicants must submit a preliminary application (91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ formatted CV and draft recommendation letter- template to be provided by AA on initial contact) to their assigned DPC Chair and AA atÌýaec8-academicaffairs3.fmhs [at] mcgill.ca.Ìý

May 4, 2026

Potential applicants submit their completed application to AA atÌýaec8-academicaffairs3.fmhs [at] mcgill.ca.

Summer 2026

DPC meets and reviews dossiers. AA communicates DPC decisions to candidates. Successful candidates have the opportunity to update their dossiers before final submission.

September 8, 2026

All updated dossiers must be submitted to AA atÌýaec8-academicaffairs3.fmhs [at] mcgill.caÌý
