39th Award Ceremony of World Cultural Awards with photos of Arts Bldg and Violinist

This year theÌýWorld Cultural Council (WCC) will celebrate itsÌý39th Award CeremonyÌýhosted byÌý91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµÌýat its historic downtown campus in the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, onÌýWednesday, October 23, 2024.

At this event, the 2024 Albert Einstein World Award of Science and the Leonardo da Vinci World Award of Arts will be bestowed upon distinguished leaders in their respective fields, in recognition of their tireless pursuit of the advancement of human culture and well-being. The Awards will be given by Sir Fraser Stoddart, President of the WCC, Professor Deep Saini, President and Vice-Chancellor of 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ, and members of the WCC Board of Directors.

During the Ceremony, the World Cultural Council will present special recognition honours to several outstanding researchers at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ who have shown remarkable performance early in their careers through their groundbreaking and impactful work.

As part of the program, award laureates Cónal Creedon andÌýEske Willerslev will deliver the 2024 Beatty Lecture at the University on Tuesday, October 22. Established in 1952, the Beatty Lecture is 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ's most distinguished and endowed lectureship, and one of Canada's longest running lecture series. 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ is on land which has long served and continues to serve as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous peoples whose presence and contribution mark this territory on which peoples of the world now gather.
