Research:

The Bérubé Lab aims to uncover the mechanisms of molecular disruptions by environmental contaminants leading to developmental toxicity and disease using a combination of new alternative methods (NAMs), the zebrafish and human cell culture. We are interested in investigating the disruption of cell differentiation processes and mitochondrial functions by emerging chemicals. We are also interested in developmental exposures and their impact on metabolic diseases that can occur at later life stages.
