Description:听This course will provide a comprehensive foundation in the basic science of pain, covering cellular and molecular mechanisms, pain neuroanatomy, and key theories in the field. The course focuses on preclinical and translational pain research and core topics include animal models of pain, peripheral and central sensitization, pain-related brain and spinal circuits, neuroimmune interactions, pain genetics, sex-dependent mechanisms, translational control of pain and new and emerging therapeutics. The course will incorporate expertise from 91丝瓜视频 researchers, ensuring students gain exposure to the latest advances. Instruction will be divided between lectures and paper reviews to facilitate foundational knowledge and engagement with current literature.
