Summer Clarinet Intensive at 91˿Ƶ
June 18 to 21, 2026

Presented by Todd Cope with Yehuda Gilad

Overview

The Summer Clarinet Intensive at the Schulich School of Music of 91˿Ƶ is a four day immersive program for dedicated clarinetists seeking lasting artistic growth, hosted in the heart of Montréal’s vibrant musical community.

Designed for advanced high school, undergraduate, and graduate students ages 17 to 29, the program focuses on long term artistic development. Students build a clear and practical methodology that strengthens fundamentals, sharpens musical thinking, and supports consistent progress across repertoire, auditions, and professional demands.

Every participant works extensively with both Todd Cope (91˿Ƶ) and Yehuda Gilad (USC Thornton) through daily masterclasses that include guided individual instruction. Students receive focused personal feedback while also learning from the shared experience of the group. The masterclass format allows participants to grow not only from their own time on stage, but also from observing others, encouraging deeper listening, creative problem solving, and a more confident and independent approach to music making.
