Special Pride Events in Local Religious Communities

The following events and gatherings have been shared with MORSL and/or publicly announced. Other communities may also be hosting events or gatherings. We encourage you to contact your community.

Sunday August 2, 4:00 PM: Pride Service at Christ Church Cathedral (635 St. Catherine St. W.):Celebrate Pride at ! This vibrant celebration will include music, readings, prayers, and a sermon. We have a special guest choir, Ganymède, who will sing during the service.All are welcome to join us regardless of whether you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or an ally, regardless of whether you are a Christian or just curious about churches celebrating Pride. Friday, August 7, 6:00 PM: Pride Dinner at the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul (3415 Redpath): Join us for an evening of Christian fellowship featuring a dinner and a jazz concert with the Open House Jazz Collective! Tickets cost $15 and will be on sale in the Narthex after upcoming worship services and at the door. Please contact the church office if you’d like to reserve a ticket at 514.842.3431.

Sunday August 9, 9:00 AM:Pride in the Garden Service at the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul (3415 Redpath): We welcome you to celebrate God’s inclusiveness in the open air of the beautiful Quiet Garden of . The service will again this year feature Rev. Dr. Robert Faris as our guest preacher. Communion will be served. 11:00 AM Pride Parade contingent: The Montreal Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, August 9th at 1:00 p.m. on Boulevard René-Lévesque. This year we will show solidarity by joining with other Christians to walk in the parade. If you prefer to watch the parade, several of us will be gathering after the 11:00 a.m. service to walk down together to enjoy the colour and sound of the parade.

Sunday August 9, 10:00 AM:Pride-focused Eucharist service at St. John's Lutheran Church (3594 rue Jeanne-Mance): will be hosting a pride-focused Eucharist service, led by guest Pastor Matthew Schulz. All are welcome to attend as the community celebrates God's love for everyone. After the service, a contingent from St. John's will be walking in the pride parade. All are invited to come rejoice in the intersection of faith, spirituality, and 2SLGBTQIA+ identities.

Sunday, August 9, 10:00 AM: Meetup for LGBTQ+ Jews in the Montreal Pride Parade:Once more in 2026, Ga'ava גאווה is extremely proud to march in the Montreal Pride Parade with LGBTQ+ Jews, families, friends and allies. The event begins as of 11am with a festive coffee & bagels welcome party. Location to be announced to registered participants.is mandatory via JLive page

Sunday August 9, 12:00 PM, Departure from Christ Church Cathedral to march in Pride parade:Join a contingent from Christ Church Cathedral (635 St. Catherine St. W.) to share God's inclusive love with the world as we march in the Montreal Pride Parade on Sunday, August 9!
We will be leaving from the Cathedral immediately following a blessing at 12:00 p.m. Possibility of arranging to meet at the parade venue as well. to coordinate participation.
