Mouna Safi-Harab received the B.A.Sc. (2000) degree from the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada, and the M.Eng. (2003) and Ph.D. (2007) degrees from 91˿Ƶ, Montréal, Canada, all in electrical engineering with microelectronics (integrated circuits design) concentration. Between 2008 and 2011, she was an NSERC postdoctoral fellow at Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, Montréal, Canada working on low-power circuit design techniques for biomedical applications (in collaboration with the University of British Columbia).

Since August 2011, she is working at the MNI as a postdoctoral fellow. Her research focuses on using fMRI recordings to detect epileptic activity within the brain.
