Steps to declare the Urban Studies Major in Minerva

Select "Geography (AR)" from the major picklist.
Click the "continue" button at the bottom of the page.
Select "Urban studies" from the "Option" picklist that will then appear.
Click "save" or "submit" at the bottom of the page.

If done correctly, the program listed on your unofficial transcript should be the "Major Concentration Geography (AR) - Urban Studies".

Department policy regarding courses with Minerva waitlists

Please take note that we do not bypass the Minerva waitlist system. Enriched Educational Opportunities: Need-Based Bursary Program (EEO)

Enriched Educational Opportunities (EEOs) are high-quality off-campus mobility or other experiential opportunities, and are officially recognized by your Faculty. They foster self-development and help students transition successfully to the workplace or graduate studies. The University is striving to expand opportunities for undergraduates to participate in EEOs and to make them accessible to all undergraduates regardless of their financial capacity.

Bursaries are administered by the Scholarships & Student Aid Office and are non-repayable forms of financial assistance based on demonstrated financial need to help undergraduate students with the additional costs associated with the extra opportunities.

Your Faculty will determine which opportunities shall be recognized for consideration to apply for the EEO bursary program. It generally involves a vetting/selection process, academic oversight and clear learning outcomes.

Eligible EEOs may include:

  • Field Courses and Field Study Semesters
  • Unpaid or insufficiently paid Internships and Research Opportunities (excludes 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ on-campus or in affiliated hospitals and research institutes)
  • Research Abroad
