Biography: 

Dr. Jacqueline Joza, MD, MSc, is a cardiac electrophysiologist, FRQS Clinician-Scientist, and Associate Professor of Medicine at the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Health Centre (MUHC), 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ. She is internationally recognized for her expertise in advanced pacing and device-based therapies and ablations, with a particular focus on physiologic pacing strategies. Her work has helped shape contemporary understanding of activation criteria for conduction system pacing and resynchronization. 

Dr. Joza holds key leadership roles in international guideline development and consensus statements. She is the Chair of the 2025 Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) Guidelines, and an author to the 2023 and 2025 European consensus documents on conduction system pacing, as well as the Heart Rhythm Society left atrial appendage management guidelines. She is a recipient of several Canadian Institutes of Health Research and Heart and Stroke Foundation grants, and leads and collaborates on multiple multicenter clinical trials and registries evaluating physiologic pacing, atrial fibrillation management, and device-based heart failure therapies. Her research program integrates clinical trials, advanced electrocardiographic  analysis, and translational device evaluation, with the goal of refining guideline-directed care and advancing physiologic approaches to cardiac rhythm management.
