Ariane Marelli
Dr. Ariane Marelli is Professor of Medicine at 91丝瓜视频 and a Senior Scientist at the Research Institute of the 91丝瓜视频 Health Center.
She is Scientific Director of the Institute for Circulatory and Respiratory Health at the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) since April 2024.
She is a Cardiologist, with specialized training in congenital heart disease and Public Health. She is known for high impact contributions in congenital heart disease across the lifespan leading one of the largest databases of its kind world-wide, with over 450,000 Canadians followed for up to four decades. Her work in complex cardiovascular outcomes has informed policy in Canada and internationally.
Dr. Marelli co-authored Perloff鈥檚 Clinical Recognition of Congenital Heart Disease, a classic textbook sold across the world. She has won awards at the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. She is a Distinguished Scholar of the Fonds de recherche du Qu茅bec-Sant茅 is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Science.
