Biography: 

Dr. Anne-Marie Bourgault, MD, FRCPC, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ and a specialist in Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. She practices at the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Health Centre, where she has served as Medical Director of Clinical Laboratories and remains involved in clinical microbiology and antimicrobial stewardship.

Dr. Bourgault earned her medical degree from the Université de Sherbrooke and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Université de Sherbrooke, followed by fellowship training in infectious diseases and microbiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Her career has included clinical and academic appointments at CHUL, Hôpital Saint-Luc, and the CHUM, as well as serving as Scientific Director of the Laboratoire de santé publique du Québec.

Her work focuses on infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, infection prevention, and public health microbiology, and she has contributed extensively to surveillance programs, clinical research, and medical education in these fields.
