Immigrant and Refugee Pediatric Dental Clinic

The Immigrant and Refugee Pediatric Dental Clinic provides free dental care for refugee and immigrant children under 10 who are not covered by Medicare (RAMQ), or do not have access to dental care due to financial constraints or lack of insurance. All care is provided by fourth year dental students supervised by licensed dentists. 

Treatments offered

  • Complete dental examinations
  • Radiographs (X-Rays)
  • Regular and deep cleanings
  • Fluoride treatments
  • Fillings
  • Extractions

Complex endodontic treatment (root canals) and orthodontic treatment (braces) are not provided.

Becoming a patient

To become a patient at the Immigrant and Refugee Pediatric Dental Clinic, call and leave a message at 514-398-5189 and specify that you would like an appointment at the Immigrant and Refugee Pediatric Dental Clinic.

Preference is given to children younger than 10 years who do not have Medicare (RAMQ) coverage, but children up to the age of 12 may receive treatment if space is available. Children with special needs due to medical or behavioral issues or a disability may be referred to the regular hospital clinic.

Cancellation policy

It is the patient’s responsibility to keep scheduled appointments. If appointments are cancelled with 24 hours notice, no fee is charged. A $40 fee will be charged for last minute cancellations and patients that do not come to their appointment.
