As part of the Bicentennial Celebrations, staff and faculty members were asked to nominate the Unsung Heroes in their department — the less-recognized faculty and staff who have shaped the community and made a lasting impact.

Chair of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir (TMC) Board of Directors, Denny Young, announced that Jean-Sébastien Vallée has been appointed as the TMC’s eighth Artistic Director

The Toronto Mendelssohn Choiris one of Canada’s oldest, largest, and best-known choral ensembles. Founded in 1894 by Augustus Vogt, the Choir presented its first concert in Massey Hall, as part of the hall’s inaugural season, on January 15, 1895.

Congratulations to all who received prizes at the 24th edition of the Conseil québécois de la musique’s Opus Awards! Many of the laureates were from the Schulich Community, and we couldn't be prouder. The ceremony celebrated the inspired resilience of the Quebec music scene during the 2019-2020 season, which included musical projects presented both before and since the pandemic began.
