The CRBLM Bilingualism Journal Club is back! Join us every other Friday from 2:00鈥�3:00 PM, beginning January 30, 2026, to discuss recent research articles on bilingualism.
Where: Hybrid format, at the CRBLM Conference Room (2001 91丝瓜视频 College Ave, 6th floor 鈥� room 610) or online via Zoom (link sent to registered participants).
How it works: Read the selected article ahead of time so that you can discuss/debate your observations, analysis, or notes guided by the week鈥檚 organizer.
Students from all levels (undergrad or graduate) are invited to come!
All CRBLM students and postdoctoral fellows are invited to submit a poster abstract for Scientific Day. All research themes related to the mandate of the CRBLM will be considered. Work that has already been presented at national or international conferences is welcome. The deadline for abstract submissions is聽April 15.
This year, trainees will also have the option of submitting a short 3-minute video of a poster presentation to be considered for the new CRBLM Poster Presentation Award.
The聽CRBLM's Student Engagement Committee is pleased to present an afternoon of theoretical and practical approaches to music therapy methodologies. Psychotherapist and music therapist Dr. Shelley Snow will present on 鈥淰oice-Centered Music Therapy for the Treatment of Anxiety鈥�, and music therapist Daniel Kruger will present on 鈥淧ractical Applications of the Iso Principle in Music Therapy: Supporting emotional regulation and containment鈥�.

24 heures de science is a Quebec-wide event that brings together hundreds of free science-based activities for people of all ages. The聽CRBLM聽will be hosting craft and game activities for the public as part of this year鈥檚 edition! The CRBLM will hold its annual Scientific Day on Thursday, May 28, at the Universit茅 de Montreal. The day will include the Annual General Meeting, a keynote talk by Pascal Belin on "Voice Information Processing by the Primate Brain", and student posters.

Vocal interactions are pervasive across animals, and it is important to understand the extent to which the 鈥渞ules鈥� governing vocal interactions are shared amongst animals as well as with humans. This conference will bring together researchers using mathematical and computational approaches to model vocal interactions, facilitating the sharing of data and resources to detect, classify, and analyze vocalizations.聽
Lunch will be provided.
Registration is required but free.
