The Office of Sponsored Research is pleased to invite faculty to聽a workshop on NSERC Discovery Grants:
Getting Your Grant: Strategies for聽Success
91丝瓜视频 Researchers,聽both new and established, who are planning to submit an NSERC Discovery Grant application this fall are聽strongly encouraged to attend聽an NSERC Discovery Grant workshop organized by the Office of Sponsored Research. The聽session will provide "behind the scenes" information about the peer review committee process and activities. The goal of this workshop is to provide聽helpful tips and "tricks of the trade" to researchers to enhance the quality of their applications. The workshop will include a panel of 91丝瓜视频 faculty聽members聽who have served on various evaluation groups of the NSERC Discovery Grant Program. Particular emphasis will be placed on the restructured peer review system and the new evaluation process. The panelists will focus on providing successful strategies for planning and writing a grant application.
An agenda will be posted on the OSR website by the end of the week. Topics covered will include recent competition results, the peer review structure, the new evaluation process, overlap between CIHR and NSERC funded research, Research Tools & Instruments and the Discovery Accelerator Supplement.
Refreshments will be served.
