 faculty to a workshop on NSERC Discovery Grants:\nGetting Your Grant: Stra
 tegies\nfor Success\n91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Researchers\, both new and established\, who a
 re\nplanning to submit an NSERC Discovery Grant application this fall\nare
  strongly encouraged to attend an NSERC Discovery\nGrant workshop organize
 d by the Office of Sponsored Research.\nThe session will provide 'behind t
 he scenes' information about\nthe peer review committee process and activi
 ties. The goal of this\nworkshop is to provide helpful tips and 'tricks of
  the trade'\nto researchers to enhance the quality of their\napplications.
  The workshop will include a panel of 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ\nfaculty members who have ser
 ved on various\nevaluation groups of the NSERC Discovery Grant Program. Pa
 rticular\nemphasis will be placed on the restructured peer review system a
 nd\nthe new evaluation process. The panelists will focus on providing\nsuc
 cessful strategies for planning and writing a grant\napplication.\nAn agen
 da will be posted on the OSR website by the end of the\nweek. Topics cover
 ed will include recent competition results\, the\npeer review structure\, 
 the new evaluation process\, overlap between\nCIHR and NSERC funded resear
 ch\, Research Tools & Instruments\nand the Discovery Accelerator Supplemen
