Esmee Miron Aalders (University of Zurich) will give a talk entitled 鈥淨uantifying the diversity of early social and language environments鈥�.
Children grow up in diverse linguistic and social environments, which makes it important to understand how this diversity shapes their communicative development. Across three projects, we take a more nuanced approach than previous work: rather than categorising children as monolingual or multilingual, we assess the diversity of children's language and social environments and relate it to their communicative behaviours and developmental outcomes.
