The is the leading voice on the First World War in Canada and is dedicated to preserving and promoting Canada’s First World War history through education, commemoration, and heritage programming.

(NEW) Heritage Lower St. Lawrence (Montreal & Metis-sur-Mer, QC)

Heritage Lower St. Lawrence is a not-for-profit organization that has been active in the region for more than two decades. In addition to bringing social, health and community services to the region’s English-speaking population, Heritage also has a mandate to make local history come alive. The organization collects and shares documents, photographs and information on the English-speaking communities in the region. It publishes books, creates web sites and hosts history talks.

The is a not for profit historical association which conducts research on the Highland soldiers of the Seven Years’ War in North America, many of whom stayed or came back to Canada and the USA in the late 18th century. These soldiers formed the foundation of the Scottish community in Canada. The association has extensive archives, no paid staff but access to professional archivists and historians.

TheÌýBlackÌýWatchÌýMuseumÌýandÌýArchivesÌý(Montreal, QC)

(Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada is Canada’s oldest Highland regiment, formed in 1862 by Montreal’s Scottish community. The Regiment has accumulated what is considered the best Regimental archives in Canada, used by many researchers. The archives are operated by a small, part-time team, and located in the Black Watch Armoury, Bleury Street at President Kennedy.

/ Reford Gardens is a national historic site located at the gateway to the Gaspé Peninsula. In addition to managing historic gardens and the 1887 Estevan Lodge, the Gardens create and produce virtual and travelling exhibitions.Ìý
