Overview

The Division of Anatomical Sciences, within the Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology, coordinates the instruction of human anatomy for over 2000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students from the following Faculties and Schools of 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ:

  • Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences
  • Faculty of Science
  • Faculty of Education
  • Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences
  • Ingram School of Nursing
  • School of Human Nutrition

The Division also provides anatomy and dissection workshops for external groups from other universities and professional societies, locally and internationally. Our teaching activities are made possible by the Body Donor Program.

Facilities

The Division administers the Anatomy Laboratory (macroanatomy), Histology Laboratory (microanatomy), and facilities for the Body Donor Program, all located within the historic Strathcona Anatomy & Dentistry Building. Partners

The Division offersÌýanatomical education and resources to our partners at the Steinberg Centre for Simulation and Interactive Learning, the Maude Abbott Medical Museum, and interdisciplinary researchers at multiple postsecondary institutions.
