°Õ³ó±ðÌýGreen Light Microscopy (GLM) ProjectÌýwas funded by theÌýSustainability Projects Fund (SPF)Ìýas a SPF Project. Through the SPF the ABIF had the resources to become theÌýfirst mercury-free facility on 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ campus.ÌýThe campaign was originally titled Mercury Free Microscopy, but was later changed to become more inclusive of other sustainable advantages of the program such as reductions in energy consumption, health hazards, ownership costs and waste streams.

The SPF mandate is to:

"Build a culture of sustainability on 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ campuses through the development and seed-funding of interdisciplinary projects"
