91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Web Services is excited to launch our first-ever Extreme Content Makeover Showcase! This is a chance for WMS site managers and editors across the university to highlight the great work you’ve been doing to clean up, reorganize, and improve your websites.

Whether you tackle a big navigation overhaul or simply breathe new life into a single page, we want to see it.

Selected submissions will be featured at our 2026 mid-year Web Community Conference, and winners will also receive a coffee and donuts party for their team, on us!

What we’re looking for

This showcase isn’t a competition. Different units have different capacities, so we’re focusing on creative, efficient, and meaningful improvements rather than scale. Submissions will be reviewed through the following lenses:

Clear improvement from the starting point

Changes that solve a specific content issue, even on a single page.

Content reduction and reorganization

This could be removing outdated or duplicate pages, reducing file and image clutter, or improving hierarchy or navigation.

Accessibility enhancements

Better headings, alt text, readable content, or switching to accessible formatting.

Sustainable content practices

Updates that reduce long-term maintenance or support stronger governance.

Creative problem-solving

Smart, practical, and innovative processes and solutions for updating your website.

Timeline

December 2025 - April 2026: Submit interest

  • An archive of your site will be created upon submission of our entry form (below), so that we can capture the before and after of all the hard work you have done to improve your site.

May 2026: Review period

  • During this time, our team will reach out to anyone who has submitted the registration form to check in on the progress that has been made in the projects that you have indicated. Don't worry if other priorities have gotten in the way and you weren't able to do as much as you set out to do at the beginning, any ideas or methods that are interesting could still make the cut!

June 2026: Showcase presentation

  • Selected teams will be notified prior to our mid-end presentation, and we'll celebrate with coffee and donuts!
