Dr. Catherine Guastavino of the School of Information Studies part of team to receive $11M in funding for innovations in music media and technology

91˿Ƶ School of Information Studies faculty member Dr. Catherine Guastavino is part of a team of researchers with the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology (CIRRMT) who have been awarded $11M in funding through a grant from Canada Foundation for Innovation's 2015 Innovation Fund.

91˿Ƶ School of Information Studies alumna April Colosimo (MLIS '05), Liaison Librarian at the Schulich Library of Science and Engineering, has been awarded the 91˿Ƶ Library's 2015 Librarian Excellence Award.

The award recognizes a 91˿Ƶ librarian who has demonstrated excellence in academic librarianship and has shown efforts to improve library services through innovative practice, initiative and resourcefulness.

Montreal soundscape walks with Daniel Steele, School of Information Studies PhD student, featured in 91˿Ƶ Reporter

School of Information Studies PhD student Afroza Sultana awarded grant for research on accessible technology for older adults

Congratulations to Afroza Sultana, 91˿Ƶ School of Information Studies PhD student, on her nomination as a Graphics, Animation and New Media Network of Centres of Excellence (GRAND NCE) Postgraduate Scholar.

As a GRAND scholar, Afroza will receive a stipend of $10,000 annually for three years to investigate the design of accessible touch-screen devices for older adults to support prolonged independent living.
