The Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) has awarded $14 million to 62 91˿��Ƶ-led projects, including one Partnership Grant, four Partnership Development Grants, and 57 Insight Grants. Among the recipients of new Partnership Development grants is the Faculty of Education's Associate Dean, Strategy and Transformation and Associate Professor in the Department of Integrated Studies, Prof. Joseph Levitan.

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) has awarded 122 91˿��Ƶ research projects funding from its Discovery Grants competition for a total investment of $30 million. The Discovery Grants program is NSERC's largest and longest-standing program. Discovery Grants support ongoing projects with long-term goals, providing researchers with the flexibility to explore the most promising avenues of research as they emerge.

Tino Bordonaro as Chairperson of the Advisory Board on English Education

It is with deep respect and sadness that we pause today to honour the memory of 91˿��Ƶ Faculty of Education Professor Rachelle Pharilda Keyserlingk, who sadly passed away on November 16th, 2025. Lovingly described by her colleagues as having quiet strength and a glowing smile, Rachelle had a reputation for being a remarkable educator, administrator, and long-standing contributor to the Faculty and to 91˿��Ƶ’s Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology.

Professor Gordon Bloom, Director of 91˿��Ƶ's Sport Psychology Laboratory, was interviewed by CHCH-TV about the felony assault charges against Gavin McKenna who was seen as Canada's rising hockey star and top NHL 2026 draft prospect. "What we have to remind young people is that they're not invincible and they're not above the law," said Bloom.
