Pour le mois d'archeologie: Hands-on Archaeology Dig / Fouille arch茅ologique

Immerse yourself in a hands-on, interactive archaeological dig led by Michelle Della Corte (Concordia University, Classics and Archeology), recently returned from a dig in Argilos, Greece. Michelle majors in Classical Civilization (in which Archaeology is a huge component) and Anthropology.听 Participants will learn about archeological tools, methods and the techniques used to uncover the artifacts from the past. They will go to an outdoor simulated archaeological site near the Museum to uncover buried artifacts鈥攔ecording and cataloging each as it is uncovered. Once the artifacts are uncovered, they wil return to the Museum to pieces together and identify their finds. For all ages. Bilingual.

De retour au Mus茅e, ils r茅uniront et identifieront les tr茅sors qu鈥檌ls auront d茅nich茅s.

Accessibility

Please note that the Redpath Museum is not accessible to individuals using wheelchairs. There are no access ramps or elevators, and access to the upper floors is only possible via a central staircase. The exterior entrance, interior spaces, exhibition rooms, and restrooms are not adapted to meet universal accessibility standards. Additionally, the building is not air-conditioned.
