She is currently a senior gynecologic pathologist at the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Health Centre (MUHC). As a result, acral melanoma—a subtype considered rare overall but amongst the most common forms of melanoma in patients with skin of color—has remained critically understudied.
