Dr. Al-Amin (Al) Ahamed, PharmD, is a health equity–driven practitioner working at the intersection of pharmacy, biopharmaceutical innovation, and public policy. He is currently the Medical Operations and Transformation Resident at Sanofi, an AI-powered global biopharma company, where he supports Medical Affairs governance and operations, contributing to the development and execution of Canada-wide medical initiatives. He also previously served as a policy resident and consultant with BacharLorai Global, an award-winning social impact agency, where he helped co-author a policy brief on youth unemployment in Bangladesh that was presented at the 2025 IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings and the 80th United Nations General Assembly. 

Al is a graduate of 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµâ€™s Master of Public Policy program and a McCall MacBain Scholar, bringing a systems-level perspective to challenges in healthcare access and delivery. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Toronto, where he served as Valedictorian, Class President, and a U of T Global Scholar. In addition to holding executive roles in student governance, he led the Undergraduate Pharmacy Society and the PharmaPride Club, advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion within health education. 

Al’s experience spans harm reduction, health systems organizations, and community innovation. As co-founder of TRUSTi, an award-winning harm reduction venture, he helped design solutions supporting people who use drugs, integrating frontline health expertise, policy insight, and transformative technologies to strengthen health equity at scale.
