Current research:

My research focuses on the development of peptide-based radiotheranostics that enable cancer imaging by positron emission tomography (PET) and targeted radionuclide therapy. Our group is currently advancing promising peptide candidates for imaging somatostatin receptor type 2 (SSTR2) and gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR) overexpressed in certain cancers, with ongoing efforts to refine their pharmacokinetics, affinity, and translational potential. Building on our platform, we wish to expand our pipeline toward additional molecular targets that are overexpressed across other types of oncological malignancies, including FAP, CXCR4, integrins, uPAR, and other clinically relevant receptors. To strengthen and accelerate this work, we are actively seeking collaborations with basic science laboratories interested in contributing expertise in receptor biology and quantitative assay development. In particular, we are looking for partners who can perform in vitro receptor-binding and competition assays for our peptide constructs, as well as groups with expertise to conduct preclinical PET imaging and biodistribution studies in small animal models. Such collaborations will be instrumental in validating new targets, optimizing lead compounds, and advancing novel radiotheranostic agents toward clinical utility.
