Courses Outside the Faculties of Arts or Science

91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ

If enrolled in a B.A. degree:

  • You are permitted -Ìýwithin your degree -Ìýto earn a maximum of 12 university level creditsÌýfrom courses offered by Faculties other than the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science.ÌýExamples include courses in Music, Management, Education, etc.
  • Certain  (select "Courses Outside the Faculties of Arts or Science — For Arts Students") include a number of required and complementary courses in other faculties. You are permitted to exceed the above-mentioned limit per the following:
    • If enrolled in a single designated non-Arts program: to a maximum of 30 university level credits from courses outside Arts and Science.
      • If completing prerequisite or co-requisite courses causes you to exceed this 30-credit limit, those additional courses will be E-flagged (the courses and grades will remain on your transcript but will not count for credit and will not be included in your GPA).
    • Enrolled in two or more designated non-Arts programs: to a maximum of 39 university level credits from courses outside Arts and Science.
      • If completing prerequisite or co-requisite courses causes you to exceed this 39-credit limit, those additional courses will be E-flagged (the courses and grades will remain on your transcript but will not count for credit and will not be included in your GPA).
  • If you register for a course and it exceeds the specified limitations, the course will be E-flagged for no credit subsequent to the course change period.
  • Students pursuing a Joint Honours Economics and Finance or Accounting may not complete any of the Minors offered by the Desautels Faculty of Management.
  • Students cannot pursue both the Minor Entrepreneurship and the 
  • Even though the following courses are offered by faculties other than Arts or Science, they doÌýnot count toward the maximum number of out-of-faculty credits you are permitted to take:
  1. HSEL 308 and 309
  1. Any course taken as part of a Field Study Semester offered at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ.
  1. The following courses offered by the Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences: AEMA 101 and 102; AEBI 120, AECH 110 and 111, AEPH 112 and 114.
