  Synopsis\n\nIn a time of intensifying climate and biodiversity crises\, t
 his keynote highlights why Indigenous-led conservation is increasingly rec
 ognized as essential. Grounded in relational worldviews that center the re
 sponsibilities between land\, water\, and people\, Indigenous leadership r
 eframes conservation from a technical process into a holistic\, culturally
  grounded practice. This approach not only strengthens ecological resilien
 ce but also supports national and international climate and biodiversity c
 ommitments—offering a powerful pathway toward a more balanced and hopeful 
 environmental future.\n\nAbout the Speaker\n\nDahti Tsetso is a leading vo
 ice in Indigenous-led conservation across the Northwest Territories and Ca
 nada. In her previous role as Deputy Director of the Indigenous Leadership
  Initiative (ILI)\, she coordinated the collaborative negotiations that le
 d to the NWT: Our Land for the Future Agreement (2024)\, uniting 22 Indige
 nous governments\, the Government of the Northwest Territories\, the Gover
 nment of Canada\, and private partners to establish one of the world’s lar
 gest Indigenous-led land conservation trusts.\n\nHer leadership also contr
 ibuted to the Edéhzhíe Establishment Agreement (2018)\, creating a 14\,218
  km² protected area recognized under both Canadian and Dehcho Dene law\, a
 s well as the development of the regional Dehcho K’éhodi stewardship and g
 uardian program.\n\nWe hope you will join us for this important and inspir
