Drawing on research conducted with the Quebec Homelessness Prevention Collaborative, Eliadis explained that women who have access to transitional housing are significantly more likely to secure stable long-term housing and far less likely to return to abusive partners. Her research highlights how these programs provide the stability and support needed for survivors and their children to regain independence after leaving emergency shelters.
