Call for Papers - Deadline extended (International Symposium on Governance and Innovation, Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence)

The 8th edition of the International Conference on Governance and Innovation: Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence will take place June 17–19, 2026, at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.

This international conference explores the accelerating convergence of governance, innovation, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI) in a rapidly changing digital world. Thematic areas of the conference include:

  • Cybersecurity and digital sovereignty: national strategies, geopolitical issues, resilience against cyber threats;
  • AI and governance: ethics, regulation, algorithmic and data governance, transparency;
  • Innovation and digital risks: blockchain, cryptocurrencies, big data, new vulnerabilities and opportunities;
  • Governance models: private enterprises, public institutions, multi-level and international governance;
  • Performance and accountability: organizational structures, flexibility, IT-innovation strategic alignment;
  • Socio-economic issues: disinformation, digital inclusion, impacts on citizen and institutional trust.

Call for Papers (deadline extended)

The organizers are looking for scientific, conceptual, empirical, and practitioner-oriented papers addressing one or more of the conference themes. As a first step, researchers are invited to submit a one-page proposal in Microsoft Word format summarizing their research paper no later than February 15, 2026.

The one-page proposal can be written in English or French and must include the following information:

  • Title (maximum 180 characters, including spaces);
  • Abstract (maximum 1,500 characters, including spaces);
  • Author's name, professional status, contact information, and primary affiliation;
  • List of co-authors.

All submissions will be reviewed by a scientific committee composed of professors, researchers, and professionals from universities and institutions around the world. Following the conference, selected authors will be invited to submit full papers (5,000 - 7,000 words) for publication in journals or in a collective work. The papers will undergo a revision process by the same committee.
