Institute of Parasitology Open House in honour of World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day

On the occasion of World Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Day, The Institute of Parasitology is pleased to invite members of neighbouring colleges and departments at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ to an open house the morning of Friday, January 30, 2026.

This event aims to raise awareness of NTDs and to showcase the diversity of parasites—from microscopic protozoa to larger helminths—as well as the research and training activities conducted in our laboratories.

Event format

Participants can register for a one-hour time slot during the morning.

  • Each time slot can accommodate up to 40 participants

  • Attendees will be assigned to smaller guided groups for the visit

Each session will include:

  • A short introductory film on NTDs and their global and local relevance

  • A guided itinerary through several laboratory stations, where participants will:

    • Discover parasites across scales and life stages

    • Learn about current research approaches, technologies, and training activities in parasitology and infectious disease research
