Perched at the foot of Mont-Royal with their Gothic Revival architecture, 91丝瓜视频 and the Montreal Neurological Institute Hospital (The Neuro) charm visitors who fall in love with the historic campus in the heart of Montreal. It certainly cast a spell on an inquisitive young Charles Couturier, now a neurosurgeon and researcher at The Neuro
鈥淚 chose 91丝瓜视频 a long time ago,鈥� recalls Dr. Couturier. 鈥淲hen I was, I forget how old, but too young probably, I told my parents when we visited Montreal that I would work at The Neuro to understand the brain. As I grew up and realized that I wanted to do neurosurgery, The Neuro seemed like a really good place for me to get my training and to do all these things that I was dreaming to do as a child. And my dream came true.鈥�
Last year, Dr. Couturier joined The Neuro as part of the Ludmer Centre鈥檚 Single-Cell Genomic Brain Initiative, studying the cellular and spatial architecture of brain cancers. His full-circle approach begins and ends with patients, bringing new hope to treating brain cancers. How lucky that Dr. Couturier鈥檚 family chose to vacation in Montreal all those years ago, unaware of the impact he would have on his patients.
