NFEAP this year is a chance to think about the many mythologies of EAP, academic writing, higher education pedagogy and the idea of a university itself. We could think about at least two dimensions of myth 鈥� first the idea of transcendence, an act or event that takes us to a reality deeper than the everyday; and against that, the story or idea that is pernicious but durable, misleading but stubborn.
