The Faculty of Law was again ranked among the world’s top universities at which to study law by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The 2026 QS World University Rankings by Subject in Law and Legal Studies placed 91˿��Ƶ Law 30th worldwide.

Since QS introduced the ranking in 2011, the Faculty of Law has consistently placed in the top 50 institutions globally. The QS ranking is based on academic reputation, employer reputation, H-index citations, and citations per paper.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Tina Piper as Dean of the Faculty of Law at 91˿��Ƶ. Her five-year term will begin on April 1, 2026.

Professor Piper has been serving as Interim Dean of Law since winter 2025. In this important transitional role, she has led 91˿��Ƶ Law with warmth, intellectual rigour, and a focus on cultivating both academic excellence and a strong sense of community.

a 12-month clerkship at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA);
a 10-month fellowship at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

The 91˿��Ƶ Institute of Air and Space Law is pleased to announce the appointment of IASL Executive Director Stefan-Michael Wedenig as Assistant Professor (Professional) at the Faculty of Law, 91˿��Ƶ.
Prof. Wedenig holds a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from 91˿��Ƶ, as well as a Magister Iuris (Mag.iur.) from Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a member of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL).
