DESCRIPTION:The 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Law community is invited to participate in the 13th 
 annual Christie Community Bike Ride in support of the First Peoples Justic
 e Centre of Montreal (CJPPM).\n\nThe Christie Community Bike Ride was foun
 ded in 2009 to commemorate the legacy of 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ alumnus and Vancouver lawy
 er Dugald Christie. Christie was both a strong advocate for access to just
 ice and an avid cyclist. In 2006\, Christie began cycling across the count
 ry to convince our decision-makers in Ottawa of the necessity for justice 
 system reform. He was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle four month
 s after the start of his journey. Every year\, 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Law students and oth
 er members of the community bike 50 km around Montreal in his honour to ra
 ise funds for a local access to justice organization.\n\nThe organizers ho
 pe that you will join them on this bike ride in support of access to justi

 n is $25 via Canada Helps.\n\nEvent details and required precautions will

 afety measures\n\nThe Christie Bike Ride organizing committee will ensure 
 all health directives are respected and adapt as needed. Cyclists will be 
 expected to maintain proper distancing. Each person is in charge of bringi
 ng their own snacks and water\, and to carry hand disinfectant and a mask.
