 nvites you to a 2018-2020 Civil Law Workshop with Professor Jaye Ellis (Mc
 Gill Law).\n\nProfessor Ellis\, who holds a joint appointment with the McG
 ill School of Environment\, teaches and conducts research in the fields of
  international environmental law\, public international law\, internationa
 l legal theory and international relations. Her current research project f
 ocuses on the intersections among law\, politics\, economics\, ethics\, an
 d science as these social systems are brought to bear on problems of envir
 onmental degradation. One facet of this research addresses the increased i
 mportance of transnational law\, paying particular attention to the role o
 f non-state actors in transnational space.\n\nAbout the Civil Law Workshop
 s\n\nIn order to promote fundamental research in private law\, the Paul-An
 dré Crépeau Centre for Private and Comparative Law initiated the “Civil La
 w Workshops” series\, bringing together jurists from Québec and beyond to 
 work on related research topics. With their cross-disciplinary focus\, the
  “Civil Law Workshops” contribute to enriching and stimulating fundamental
  research in private law.\n\nThe 2018-2020 series of Civil law workshops e
 xplore 'Les influences en droit privé'.\n\nThe workshops are presented wit
 h financial assistance from Justice Canada’s Access to Justice in Both Off
 icial Languages Support Fund.\n\nRegistration is not required.\n\nThis eve
 nt is eligible for inclusion as 1.5 hours of continuing legal education as
  reported by members of the Barreau du Québec.\n
