He has practised law in both Quebec and the UK\, f ocusing on maritime and transportation law. He was also an arbitrator and former lecturer in law at the Université de Sherbrooke. \n\nJustice David Stratas clerked for Justice Bertha Wilson of the Supreme Court of Canada a fter his studies and went on to practise law as a litigator at several Tor onto law firms.
