 tas and Marc Nadon for a debate on legal doctrine.\n\nJustices David Strat
 as and Marc Nadon of the Federal Court of Appeal will discuss\, among othe
 r things\, the state of administrative law in Canada. The Justices\, who h
 ave divergent opinions on the matter\, will debate the standard of review 
 and its impact on the rule of law\, with a general proposition that there 
 is a decline in legal doctrine.\n\nAbout the speakers\n\nJustice Marc Nado
 n is a supernumerary judge on the Canadian Federal Court of Appeal to whic
 h he was named in 2003. He has practised law in both Quebec and the UK\, f
 ocusing on maritime and transportation law. He was also an arbitrator and 
 former lecturer in law at the Université de Sherbrooke. \n\nJustice David 
 Stratas clerked for Justice Bertha Wilson of the Supreme Court of Canada a
 fter his studies and went on to practise law as a litigator at several Tor
 onto law firms. He was an adjunct professor at Queens University from 1994
  to 2009\, after which he was appointed to the Federal Court of Appeal.\n
 \nThis event is accredited for 1.5 hours of Continuing Legal Education for
  jurists by a recognized provider.\n
