 ssociates.\n\nThe boundaries of family law are being pushed by the combina
 tion of new biotechnologies and new forms of rights recognition. This talk
  will relate some experiences and offer some thoughts on litigation in sup
 port of surrogate parenting and other issues arising in family law as they
  relate to same sex couples seeking to raise their own families in Quebec.
  \n\nAbout the speaker\n\nMe Doreen Brown is a practicing attorney with th
 e lawyer firm of Green Glazer Nadler & Associates\, specializing in the fi
 eld of family law\, adoptions\, reproductive technology and litigation. Sh
 e graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola College in 1974 (Political
  Science) Cum Laude and from University of Montreal's Faculty of Law in 19
 77. She was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1978. Me Brown was a part-time f
 aculty member in the Department of Political Science for 25 years. She lec
 tured at a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) conference on adoption in Janu
 ary 2010. Me Brown also lectured on Webinaire in June 2015 on Reproductive
  Technology in Québec\, at Osgoode Hall in January 2016\, and at the Ameri
 can Bar Association conference on adoption in Quebec City in October 2016.
  She is currently a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys a
 nd the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys. Me 
 Brown is very active on a volunteer basis in many community organizations.
  In June 2014\, she received an Honorary Doctorate from Technion - Israel 
 Institute of Technology.\n
