 mitting gross human rights violations\n\n\nAbout the speaker\n\nThomas Cot
 tier\, former Managing Director of the World Trade Institute\, of which he
  is a founder as well\, and the Institute of European and International Ec
 onomic Law\, is Emeritus Professor of European and International Economic 
 Law at the University of Bern. He is a former co-director of the national 
 research programme on trade law and policy (NCCR Trade Regulation: From Fr
 agmentation to Coherence) located at the WTI. Prof. Cottier is an associat
 e editor of several journals. He was a visiting professor at the Graduate 
 Institute\, Geneva and currently teaches at the Europa Institut Saarbrücke
 n\, Germany and at Wuhan University\, China. His research activities mainl
 y relate to the law of WTO\, external economic relations of the EU and int
 ernational intellectual property.\n
