Service Notice: REDCap System temporarily shutdown

The REDCap system (Administration & Research) has been temporarily shut down following the identification of critical vulnerabilities by the vendor.

To ensure the security of our environment and protect our users’ data, we have shut down our REDCap system while we review and perform the necessary upgrades.

This precautionary measure was taken to protect data and system integrity. Our teams are working with the vendor to address the issue and restore service as quickly and safely as possible.

Updates will be shared as more information becomes available.

SharePoint "Alert me" is going away

Microsoft is currently retiring SharePoint's “alert me”, which will disappear from 91˿��Ƶ’s SharePoint sometime between January and July 2026. 91˿��Ƶ has no control over the exact moment when the feature will be removed within that timeframe.

RESOLVED: Temporary Issue with Lenel Building Access

We are currently investigating a system-wide issue affecting Lenel building access for some students and postdoctoral fellows. Impacted individuals may find their building access is unexpectedly not working. This appears to be an access issue (not a card replacement issue).

Please do not replace your card unless you are specifically advised to do so. We are working to restore access as quickly as possible and will post updates as they become available.

Internet Slowdowns on Campus

Upgrade complete: Banner INB and Minerva now available

The required upgrade to Banner INB and Minerva, 91˿��Ƶ’s administrative system for student records and finance, has been successfully completed.

As of Sunday, February 15 at 3:00 pm, all affected systems are now fully operational, including:

Minerva (including student tax receipts and the 91˿��Ƶ MarketPlace)
myProgress (degree progress tracking)
myThesis (Thesis Examination Management)

Microsoft is reporting a service issue that may affect multiple Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, the Microsoft 365 suite, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.

Due to an unexpected system issue, the Minerva waitlists were inadvertently cleared. IT Services and Enrolment Services have resolved the situation, and waitlists are now functioning normally.

Teams update: the Files tab is being renamed Shared

As part of Microsoft’s latest Teams update, the Files tab (in channels and chats) is being renamed Shared. This change is being gradually rolled out. Some 91˿��Ƶ users will see this change before others. For a little while, you may see both Files and Shared tabs across your Teams.

What’s changing?

Previously, there was a Files tab in Teams channels and chats.

That tab is being renamed Shared, and it will bring together:
