Reardon\, MD currently is a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School\, serves as Director of the Center for Neuro-Oncology at the Dana- Farber Cancer Institute where he is the inaugural recipient of the Alperin Family Chair in Neuro-Oncology .\n\nHe previously served as Clinical Dire ctor at the Center for Neuro-Oncology at Dana-Farber (12 years) and as the Associate Deputy Director of the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University Medical Center (11 years). He completed his residency a t John Hopkins Hospital and his fellowship at the University of Michigan. \n\nDr. Reardon is an active researcher with special interests in the desi gn and implementation of clinical trials for neuro-oncology and the precli nical evaluation of promising therapeutics for central nervous system tumo rs. His work includes using innovative clinical therapeutic agents to impr ove outcome for patients with brain and spinal tumors\, with particular fo cus on immunotherapeutics. He has also led investigations of molecular-tar geting agents\, anti-angiogenic reagents\, cytotoxins and other biological ly-based therapies.\n\nDr. Reardon has published over 420 peer-reviewed ma nuscripts. He received the R. Wayne Rundles Award for Excellence in Cancer Research (Duke University\, 2007) as well as the Award for Excellence in Adult Clinical Research by the Society for Neuro-Oncology in 2015 and 2016 and the James D. Griffin\, MD Medical Oncology Team Science Award (DFCI\, 2023). He has contributed to the training of 54 neuro-oncology fellows.
